What do I need?

When you subscribe to VOObusiness services, we need some information in order to cancel your contract with your existing supplier.

  1. Your customer number with your current supplier
  2. Your Easy Switch ID as indicated on your last bill
  3. A list of the services and numbers that you wish to cancel and/or transfer

What is your question?

  • Isn't Easy Switch just for individuals?

    No, the Easy Switch procedure is available to companies and self-employed persons with a company number and/or VAT number from 1 October 2023.

  • Which VOObusiness tariffs are eligible for Easy Switch?

    It’s pretty simple. VOObusiness products eligible for Easy Switch are:

    • SOLO PRO
    • DUO PRO
    • TRIO PRO
    • QUATRO PRO
  • Why do I need a transfer mandate?

    When you place your order, you will receive a copy of the transfer mandate by email. It contains all the information you need to go ahead with the Easy Switch procedure via VOObusiness. This mandate is sent to your previous operator, who is obliged to terminate your services and carry out the associated billing. This means that double billing is limited to a maximum of two (working) days.

  • Is the switch immediate or can I select a cancellation date?

    It’s up to you! You have the option of terminating your old services as soon as your VOObusiness connection is activated, or waiting a few days. Our customer service team will be happy to help. Don’t worry. It’s up to you! Easy Switch allows you to choose the termination date and, if you wish, to maintain for a while the services activated with both suppliers; in the latter case, the supplier you are leaving will continue to charge you for the services until the agreed date.

  • What happens after I terminate my contract with my previous operator?

    You’ll receive a final bill or credit note. Please note that you will still have to fulfil all your existing contractual obligations to the supplier you are leaving: payment of any outstanding invoices, return of equipment (modem, decoder) or early termination fees if you have a fixed-term contract. Check your contract or your final bill for details.

  • What are my rights in relation to the Easy Switch procedure?

    By law, the loss of the telephone service provided to the subscriber during the number transfer procedure cannot exceed one business day. You must agree on a specific date for transferring the number with your operator. If the transfer takes more than one business day after activating the phone service, or if there is a delay, you are entitled to compensation. Please contact your new operator to discuss. For more information on your right to compensation in the event of a delay in transferring the number, please consult the following link: www.ibpt.be/np.
    If you have an email address with the name of your current operator, you will have free access to your email for 18 months after the operator change. Your online personal account with your current operator remains accessible for six months. These services are granted by your current operator either automatically or upon request.
    When your new operator informs you of the need for one or more visits to your home by a technician, the technician must send you a report describing the activities carried out during these visits. This report serves as proof of his or her visit even in your absence. If the report of the technician’s visit does not show that the technician called at the agreed time, you are entitled to compensation of €10 per missed appointment. Please contact your new operator to discuss.
    Easy Switch will compensate the consumer in the event of a no-show by a technician.
